Work From Home Parenting Tips
1. Divide Your Time

This might sound like a crazy tip, but it really can lead to better productivity at home. Divide your time throughout the day between the kids and your work to help create a better balance. One way to do this is to give the kids 10 minutes of uninterrupted time for every 30 minutes that you spend focusing on work.
2. Know When To Relax {The Rules}

Rules are great, but sometimes you need to relax them a little when you’re trying to work and the kids are bored. Once in awhile, consider allowing more screen time for the kids so you can meet a deadline. Or let your child “work” alongside you so he feels more connected to you.
3. Find The Humor In Every Day

It may be that your child needs a snack or the dog barks at just the wrong time. But something like that is bound to happen every day! Your best defense is to find the humor in it and just go with the flow. Chances are your coworkers experience the same thing and they’ll completely understand.
4. Try To Look The Part

You may not need to dress up for work, but do more than wear your pajamas all day. Surprisingly, if you stay in your pajamas your child is less likely to understand that you’re working. If you have a few outfits that you only wear “to work,” it sends a signal to your child that it’s not time for play.

My final tip for work from home parenting is to incorporate your child’s study time into your work day. If your child has daily homework, set up shop in the kitchen with him so you can both work together.
