We’re in full back-to-school mode in my home (!!!). I’ve been coming up with my lesson plans, preparing all the materials for my students, and I’m gearing up to get back in to the school to arrange my classroom. One fun “extra” I like to do for my students on the first day is provide a back-to-school welcome note with a small treasure or treat. Many teachers will do the same thing and include a cute quote. I like to take this back-to-school treat and slip one into my sons’ lunch boxes for their first day back as well. After all, they’re “my students” too.
